What’s your frugal personality?

I like to call it, “dollars and sense”. I am always shopping around for the best bargains! I am always on the clearance racks and looking at “off-season” merchandise . I spend my money on quality and not quantity. If it doesn’t add up, my money is not leaving my wallet.

What are your spending weaknesses?

Fabric and shoes! My mother is a seamstress so I get the majority of my clothing made. Cheap fabric (not necessarily in numbers but in quality, too) can kill a beautifully made piece. My shoes are not considered “expensive” shoes ie, not Louboutin’s or Zanotti’s lol. But, I am always willing to shell out more for shoes than I am for clothing/accessories.

What do you save on? Everything! lol No, seriously, everything. From hair products to groceries, I do not pay full price. If it’s not reduced, it can wait. Except for fabric and shoes of course .

What do you splurge on? Fabric, shoes, and good meat!

What is the best deal you’ve gotten lately? My cell phone battery lol..My Blackberry needed a new battery and I refused to go to the company. So I went on ebay and paid $5 for a brand new authentic Blackberry battery.

How much money do you have in your wallet right now?

ehhh about $50. I prefer to keep some cash on me. Plastic can be the devil sometimes! lol

What frugal tip(s) do you swear by?

SHOP AROUND!!! Your money can spend ANY WHERE! There are some companies who are willing to beat a competitors price.

Seriously? $5 for an authentic Blackberry Battery?! I gotta give it to you girl, YOU ARE GOOD! Sometimes we are too lazy to shop around to make sure we are getting the best deals. But we need to exercise our CONSUMER POWER and get a bang for our buck  every time! Listen to Caron, companies work hard to beat competitors prices, take advantage!
